Role Requirements:

Fabrication of precious stone, marble, limestone and man-made materials.
Programming and Setting a waterjet machine using CAD software.
The ability to read drawings and understand design requirements, templates and verbal instructions.
Ability to read technical blueprints and understand engineering requirements.
Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers / measuring tapes.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude, be detail orientated, with excellent quality control, wanting to exceed standards.
Awareness of and adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales and Estimating Assistant to join our hardworking, passionate company. This role would suit an ambitious and motivated team player who would like the opportunity to enhance their skills and progress in their Sales and Estimating career within super prime construction.

Broad responsibilities include:

Supporting the Sales Director.
Producing quotations and estimates, managing Tender documents and Bill of Quantities.
Accurately identifying areas of work from Detailed Plans, General Arrangements and Section Drawings.
Attending and Reporting in Sales & Tender meetings.
Sourcing and procuring materials in UK and Europe, arranging deliveries.
Data input & maintenance of the CRM database.
Assistance with social media, networking and marketing.
Preparing & sending samples.
Assisting the Sales Director as needed with calendar and meeting management; travel arrangements; events and client lunches.

Skills and Experience required:

Previous experience working with Tender packages and Bill of Quantities, ideally within the construction industry would be advantageous, but training and support will be provided.
An eye for detail, numerate and with excellent spoken and written English.
Competent with Microsoft Suite software.
AutoCAD experience advantageous, training can be given.
Excellent client management skills and a natural confident communicator.
Right to work in the UK with a valid ID/Passport – Essential.
Driving Licence would be useful.

Some hands-on experience of a factory / production setting.
Some experience of using handheld tools such as:
Handheld drill / polisher
Ability to follow and understand Health & Safety regulations, procedures, and legal requirements.

Excellent attention to detail – a person who likes to check and double check their own work.
Hardworking team-player with a positive attitude.

Trainee Stone Fixer

Are you ambitious, hard-working and wanting to learn new skills? We have ‘learn on the job’ opportunity to acquire a specialist trade as an Interior and Exterior Stone Fixer. This industry has a shortfall of talented Fixers making this a trade with good job security and high earning potential over time.

You would be joining the team at a leading marble fabricator based in South-West London with the opportunity to work on high-end residential projects, installing stonework in London’s premier residences. We are a company that works hard to maintain a reputation for unparalleled workmanship.

What you will learn

• Introduction to construction, site-work procedures and workflows.
• Work closely with an experienced fixing team on a variety of installations.
• Learn a varied range of fixing techniques.
• Learn to work with a variety of materials and understand the requirements of the different materials.
• Understand architectural drawings.
• Learn key stonemasonry techniques – hand & power tools.
• Thorough understanding of Health & Safety rules and procedures.
• Key organisational skills, management of equipment and resources.

You must have:

• Maths & English GCSE at Level 2 or above.

• Full time/ Permanent 7.30 – 16.30.

Candidate should be able to present good skills on short trial. Salary negotiable.
